E-Online interview

Leah, what is the craziest thing you've ever done?

In my life? In real life? The craziest thing? It's so hard, because I'm just such a crazy person! I do crazy things. Wow. I went barhopping with Nat, and that was probably the craziest thing I've ever done. Once was enough.

Hey, Leah, I hear you're in the new Adam Sandler movie, Little Nicky.

I have a very small role, and I'm wearing a long brown wig. But people will recognize me, because I have a lot of close-ups on my really quirky face.

What are your favorite TV shows?

I love Law & Order because I have to figure out who did it, and I'm always right.

Leah, I've seen you on Politically Incorrect. You are awesome! Are you seeking a career in politics?

I got one of my degrees in politics, and I pursued it briefly. I realized that I would prefer to be an actor, where I can have political interests but not do that full time, so I'm very happy where I am, being a guest on Politically Incorrect. That's all the politics anyone ever needs!

Leah, if you had to write a storyline for your character, what would she do?

I think I would write a storyline where Kay got to switch jobs with Val...that somehow, Kay got to take over the agency, and Val had to show her not just the agency, but Val's life. Kay wants so badly to be Val, she tries to wear her shoes but falls off them--can't do those stunts.

What is in your CD player right now?

I have the Foo Fighters, Frank Sinatra, the Sex Pistols and Joni Mitchell.

Leah, how has making it in Hollywood changed your life?

I dress up now. I make an effort to wash and brush my hair before I leave my house, because if I don't, I have to hear about it from my mother. [With a Southern accent.] "I can't believe you went on TV looking like that, with your hair sticking up." That, and I feel like I have much more freedom to do what I want. We're so fortunate to work a portion of the year and then have a couple months off. I've been able to travel and meet so many wonderful people all over the world, which is really my greatest passion; I love to travel.

But you're not just meeting people--you're meeting people who know you from the show, right? And they're also fans of the show?

A lot of times they are. But also, it's just other cultures and seeing how other people live. It's being able to have the luxury and the time and money to make that happen.

Leah, did you get to meet Adam Sandler?

I did work with Adam, I did touch him, and he's one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. No, I have never seen him naked, Pam. [They all laugh.] But he is a very kind and generous man, and he is so worthy of all his success. I'm very happy for him. And I think Little Nicky is by far his best movie yet.

Leah, what do you do in your free time?

I like to spin and hike. I like to take German classes and play on my computer.

Leah, are you that smart with computers? Have you had to learn about them for your role on V.I.P.?

I figured it was the perfect opportunity for me to finally buy my own. I never had one before the show. But now, that's about all I do. I've been bitten by the bug. Give me time, though, to be as smart as Kay

What male celeb guests do you want to have on the show?

That cute boy Colin from The Real World, to play my boyfriend on the next show. And David Cassidy. But I'm still waiting for Donny Osmond.

Can you tell us about storylines?

So far, the most fun we've had in the three years is when Vallery dies, because we see the real nature of the characters. And you find out what we'd do without Vallery. But it was such a fine line between Val and Pam that I got so upset, I couldn't even finish reading the script. Every time we did the scene, I'd end up crying by the end at the idea of losing Pam/Val.
